![]() Again, not too sure if the resource.cfg files thing might me relevant but it's as if my original resource file was duplicated on accident. One of the resource.cfg file is from which is when I got my new computer and reinstalled the sims 4 after my old PC stopped working, and the other resource.cfg file is from which is pretty close to the date this problem started happening on. Now I'm not sure if that might be the big problem I've been missing but I'm almost positive there's something weird going on since I don't think a player is supposed to have two of those files. I sorted out file my file, taking things out, putting things back in, running my game and no matter what I did the issue kept occuring and that's when I noticed two resource.cfg files. I took everything out and tested on a brand new save file (no mods, no custom content at all) and the game ran fast and smoothly so I was convinced something in my mods was causing the issue. I've tried deleting old cc, most recent downloads, etc and nothing. I thought it might've had something to do with a corrupted file I might've accidently downloaded and put in my game, so I took out everything new from my mods folder and entered the game again. I had downloaded a bunch of new custom content for a build I was doing and in the middle of building, my game closed out for itself. Prior to this issues occurance, my game had been performing slow and laggy but the day everything really started was on New Years Day, or at least that was the first time I witnessed it. I've removed them.ĭid this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. What do you expect to see? When I get into my game, it gives me about 5-10 (maybe even less, sometimes more) until it crashes and closes out the game randomly. Either simply exiting randomly to my desktop or freezing and eventually turning my entire computer screen black, making me unable to do anything else on my computer. Once I'm in the game it only lasts a couple of minutes before my game completely crashes. ![]() What happens when the bug occurs? Launch the game once after reinstalling the driver, then go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and open Config.log. Please also make sure Sims 4 is using your 3050 ti rather than the integrated Intel chip. You can find that driver here, labeled "VGA Driver (RTX 3050 Ti)": You can always update later, but with a new-ish laptop, it's typically best to try the manufacturer-provided driver first. When reinstalling the driver, please use the one Acer offers for your laptop rather than the newest version. So the best place to start is by clean-uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. Thanks for the dxdiag, which shows a couple of errors related to the Nvidia graphics driver the Sims 4 errors could be related to the driver as well. ![]()
